Our condolences go out to the family and friends of Grammy award winning pop singer/songwriter Amy Winehouse who passed away on July 23, 2011 in her London home. Her musical talent has definitely left a mark in the music industry.
Amy Winehouse is survived by her father, Mitch, her mother, Janis and her older brother, Alex. Her family has released a statement, "Our family has been left bereft by the loss of Amy, a wonderful daughter, sister, niece. She leaves a gaping hole in our lives," the Winehouse family tells Us Weekly in a statement. "We are coming together to remember her and we would appreciate some privacy and space at this terrible time."
