The Band BEHIND N.E.R.D.

What the band has been up to while N*E*R*D is taking a break from touring. In addition, I want to give you a taste of these guys’ AMAZING talent. Yes AMAZING! Now let’s get something straight I’m not updating you on the where-about N*E*R*D, only the band.

BTW, do you know what the acronym N*E*R*D* represents? Personally, I assumed it was to describe their style of music, skateboarding or maybe they were teased and labeled growing up. Silly me.  Actually, it stands for No-one Ever Really Dies, not sure if the meaning has a spiritual connection. If so, I say AMEN!

Anyway back to the task at hand, again I’m only speaking about the band, I’m sure if you follow Pharrell, Chad and Shae on twitter or visit their website NERD.COM you can get hints of what their doing ( or least what they are willing to make public) since the tour ended. Recently Pharrell tweeted "Justin Bieber stopped by studio playing his  Christmas album UNDER THE MISTLETOE. His voice is SICK". My best tweets are Pharrell giving out B-day shout outs to followers.  Pretty cool. Anywho, on to the band, which I have a more up close and personal update.

The current band members consist of Darrell Robinson-Drummer/Music Director (MD), DeWayne Moore-Bassist, Ray Hollman-Guitarist, Noel Terrell-Keys and LiL Mike-Drummer (the one on the right). These guys have not slowed down after the tour ended. Darrell has toured with JEREMIH, COMMOM, KC and JO JO. Presently, Darrell is the MD for Island Def Jam upcoming artist CRIS CAB. In fact Darrell produced Cris Cab' s single GOOD GIRLS. Wayne is currently touring with JILL SCOTT, Ray with CHRIS BROWN and Noel Terrell with SNOOP DOGG . As you can see the guys have been busy, but it doesn't stop there. Not only are these guys great musicians they are great producers too. Therefore, long hours are spent  in their studio working on tracks.

Super Star Music Studio was opened by Darrell, Wayne, Ray and Aaron Draper (percussionist) immediately after leaving the road. Since their blend is so incredible on the road it's no doubt they would make hits with their individual creativity working together on tracks. It turns out they were right.
